Film fans going to a late night showing at Bluewater's cinema this evening may have to change their route home as a main road near the shopping centre will be closed.

Watling Street, which runs between the Greenhithe shopping centre and Dartford's Darent Valley Hospital, will be shut between the junctions with Hillhouse Road and the A296 Prince's Road.

The closure, to enable emergency repairs to be carried out to a leaking water main, will be in place between 10pm tonight (Wednesday) and 5am tomorrow.

Some film screenings at the Showcase Cinema de Lux don't start until after 10pm and its website states the building is open until 1am on Wednesdays.

A diversion will be in place via Watling Street, Prince's Road and Pilgrims' Way.
