Staff were assaulted and cash was stolen during a robbery at a Co-op store in Dartford.

Police were called to the store in Colney Road just after 7am, with three cars and a forensics van on the scene.

Two members of staff were attacked during the incident and one suffered minor injuries.

No weapons are thought to have been used

Rumours are circulating on social media that three men in balaclavas were spotted fleeing the scene. A police spokesman said inquiries are ongoing.
