A school created a memorial of poppies to commemorate Remembrance Day.

Pupils and staff at Dartford Grammar School for Girls made about 200 ceramic poppies, which have been installed beside the school pond.

Emma Field, curriculum area leader for art design and fine art, said: “It’s been a really amazing experience because all the teachers and students have been working together to remember all the servicemen and women who sacrifice so much.

“It was an idea I got when I went to Tate Modern last month.

“They will be sold next year and a donation will be going to the Royal British Legion.”
