A MAN appeared in court on Saturday charged with the murder of a consultant paediatrician.

Student David Quartey, 21, of Humber Road, Dartford, is accused of killing Dr Victoria Anyetei.

The 54-year-old was found stabbed to death in her car outside her home in Teynham Road, Dartford, on August 14.

Quartey was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on October 12.
