Ten-man Dartford were sunk by a late goal from former England international Lee Hendrie in a 3-2 Blue Square Bet Premier defeat at Tamworth on Saturday.

Darts, who had Tom Bonner, pictured, sent off for deliberate handball, twice took the lead but went home empty-handed after ex-Aston Villa midfielder Hendrie struck in the 88th minute.

Semi Ajayi headed fifth-placed Dartford in front on 16 minutes before Bonner’s handball on the line saw Scott Barrow level from the spot 10 minutes into the second half.

The visitors regained the advantage when Danny Harris netted on 70 minutes but Tamworth made the most of the extra man and levelled through Barrow’s second on 85 minutes before grabbing all three points.
