It's alleged the victim, who is known to the suspect, was walking with a friend, before being approached by three boys, also believed to be teenagers.

One of them spoke to the girls, and the other two boys left - leaving him alone with the victim and her friend.

The suspect then asked to talk to the victim alone, which is when the suspected attack took place.

He ran away from the area when she called her friend for help.

Inquiries are ongoing.
