Grammar school student taken to hospital after being hit by car outside North Kent College in Oakfield Lane, Dartford

A teenager was taken to hospital after being hit by a car this morning.
The accident happened outside North Kent College in Oakfield Lane, Dartford, just after 8am.
The youngster is believed to be a boy in the sixth form at nearby Wilmington Grammar School for Girls in Parsons Lane, Wilmington, which takes boys and girls.
A letter was sent home thanking parents and students who stopped to help and offering support to any pupils who had witnessed the accident.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance (SECAmb) said: “We were called shortly after 8am to reports of an RTC involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
“Crews assessed and treated one patient at the scene before taking them to Medway Maritime Hospital for further medical treatment.”
Kent Police also attended.
A spokesman confirmed: “We were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 8.06am to be made aware of a collision involving a teenager and a car in Oakfield Lane, Dartford.”
