Police chase from Longfield to Darenth leads to arrests after car abandoned in Ladywood Road

Three teenagers have been arrested after a suspected stolen car was abandoned in a community hall car park.

The police helicopter, police dog and officers joined forces to track down the vehicle when it was spotted in Longfield, near Dartford.

Officers flagged for the car to stop in Hartley Road at 12.20am on Wednesday but it then fled the scene leading to a police search.

Witnesses reported seeing a bright search light in the area as police tried to locate the occupants.

The car was found abandoned in Ladywood Road, Darenth about two-and-a-half miles away.

An 18-year-old man and two boys were located and all three were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

They have been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
