Green Spice in Dartford picked up the best restaurant in London suburbs award at the British Curry Awards

A Dartford Indian restaurant has won a national award. Green Spice, in Green Street Green Road, scooped the best restaurant title in the London suburbs at the British Curry Awards.

Owner Sam Islam said: “It’s amazing. This is a prestigious award and it’s a difficult one to win as there’s lots of competition.

“It’s for my staff and all their hard work and for the customers who nominated us for the award.

"We have won a lot of local awards and we have been in the top 100 in the curry awards for a few years.

"We have been trying and trying and this time we won. We are really happy.”

Green Spice, Green Street Green Road, Dartford, won the best restaurant in London suburbs, at the British Curry Awards.

The restaurant, which has more than 15 employees, holds charity nights throughout the year to raise money for local charities.
