Dartford boss Tony Burman says isn’t concerned that a repeat of last season’s trip to the FA first round proper would distract his players from their promotion push in the league.

The Darts faced League 2 Port Vale at that stage last season and now face a trip to Cray Wanderers in the third qualifying round on October 15 with £7,500 up for grabs for the winners.

Burman (pictured) said: "They (the players) are doing a good job at the moment.

"I am delighted to be in the FA Cup. It is great for the club in terms of publicity and financially. Anyone who tells you they don’t want to be in it is not telling the truth.

"The problem is, of course, the injuries, suspensions and replays which can happen with Cup runs. You want to avoid those."

He added: "We know Cray well. You’d like a home draw in the Cup but you certainly don’t want to go too far and so we have to be pleased with a bit of a derby game, even though they are in good form."
