Dartford boss Tony Burman wants his team to build on their four-point festive period return against rivals Welling.

The Darts followed up Boxing Day’s last-gasp draw at Park View Road with victory at Princes Park on Monday afternoon to stay within three points of second-placed Chelmsford.

They travel to Havant on Saturday looking for a maximum return to keep the pressure on the teams above them.

Burman (pictured) said: "We don’t want to see our work wasted. The players have got the mental toughness but people have to realise we have a young squad and they are still learning.

"They got into some good habits against Welling. We haven’t played as well as we could but we’ve had a bit of a transitional period lately and still haven’t lost that many games."
