Dartford Crossing crash caused queues on M25 near Dartford and A282

Drivers faced long delays and queues after a crash at the Dartford Crossing earlier.

The incident in the west tunnel on the anti-clockwise stretch on the M25/A282 is lead to queues of more than an hour this afternoon.

A crash caused long delays at the Dartford Crossing

Recovery vehicles were sent to the scene and traffic was diverted through the east tunnel.

A clean up then took place due to an oil spill on the carriageway and there were knock on delays throughout the area.

However, by 5.40pm the accident had been cleared and cameras show all traffic using the both tunnels again.
