Two Poundland stores in Kent have been included in a series of major revamps to make them a "stronger alternative to the supermarkets".
"Project Diamond" will see new ranges being brought to more than 275 stores by August next year – including the branches in Dartford and Tunbridge Wells.
The revamp will see more chilled and frozen food added to two Kent stores.
It will also add more PEP&CO clothing and home ranges to the stores.
The Tunbridge Wells store, in Grosvenor Road, will undergo a full revamp while the store at Tower Retail Park, in Dartford, has already undergone a "re-sparkle" after a follow-up makeover.
It has seen the introduction of more chilled cabinets.
The revamp has also included improved ranges across health and beauty, DIY and stationery departments.
Poundland says the new revamp means customers can do more of their shopping in one place, which makes it a "stronger alternative to the supermarkets".
Tim Bentley, Poundland's commercial director, said: "Our ambition is to offer more value in more places through accelerating the rollout of Project Diamond so that customers can find more of what they need close to home.
"We're working hard to constantly select the items that give customers value for money at a time when they need it most."
Since June, Poundland has increased the number of items available for £1 to help customers manage rising inflation.
The Dartford store's expanded range was introduced from Saturday while the revamped store in Tunbridge Wells is set to be launched on Saturday, December 3.
