Ukip campaigners are planning to stage a protest at the Dartford Crossing tomorrow in a bid to scrap Britain's toll charges.

Supporters are taking part in a day of action against road tolls with demonstrations at the Severn, Mersey and Dartford crossings, the Tyne Tunnel, and on the M6 Expressway.

A fifth man has been charged over the discovery of a multi-million pound cannabis shipment near the Dartford Crossing.

The party say they have campaigned to rid the tolls in Dartford for more than a decade describing the charge as akin to "highway robbery".

Ukip's Dartford parliamentary candidate Elizabeth Jone and branch chairman Linda Moore are both expected to attend the protest, which will see banners waved at junction 1A of the M25 between 8.30am and 9.30am.
