Bikers who did wheelies through a Kent town, jumped red lights and rode along pavements have been condemned by safety experts.

The warning of "highly dangerous behaviour" comes as video emerged of the riders showing off around north Kent.

The riders, who are wearing helmets when on screen, seem to start their journey outside the Shell petrol station on Northend Road on the A206, heading from Erith towards Dartford.

One member of the group is then seen making their way past the Ford dealership and carrying on down the A road, while another opts to use the pedestrian pathway.

The video ends with them going towards the Parcelforce Worldwide warehouse down Thames Road.

Within the footage they are seen attempting 'wheelies' and cutting through red lights in an area which is populated by houses before they move onto the urbanised roads.

Although it is not known how fast the bikers are travelling at, the group is shown passing through areas where speed limits are capped at 30mph and 40mph.

Campaigns director for the road safety charity Brake, Jason Wakeford, said: "This video appears to show highly dangerous behaviour which easily could have resulted in serious injury or worse.

"We urge the police to investigate these clips as a matter of urgency."
