It's not spring but it's still time to give the town centre a clean up before winter takes hold.

Volunteers are needed to help pick up litter and clean graffiti in Dartford.

Dartford council's Deep Clean team will be heading to the River Darent to clean up the river on Monday (December 5) at 7am starting at Brooklands Lakes and working down to Mill Pond Road.

Then on Tuesday and Wednesday (December 6 and 7) they will head to the Burnham Road area.

On Thursday and Friday (December 8 and 9) the cleaning team will be working hard in Dartford town centre.

Councillor Chris Shippam (Con), cabinet Member for the Town Centre, said: "It will be great to see the local community lending a hand at the Deep Cleans in and around the town centre this week.

"It's true that many hands make light work and we can all do our bit in tidying up the town."

If you think you could help spruce up the town contact Janice Collins on 01322 343353 to confirm times and details.
