The Dartford crossing was partially closed this evening after a car burst into flames.

Fire crews from Kent and Essex was called after concerned motorists reported the blaze.

The bridge was closed Kent-bound for about an hour while firefighters tackled the blaze.

Drivers reported long delays around the bridge, onto the M25.
