Staff who have worked hard to keep people fed during the pandemic have been helping feed minds too, with a little help from a big screen actor.
Staff at the South Darenth Co-op in Esparto Way held a day of fundraising, led by store manager Kerry Jary with the help of colleague Christine Weston.
But popping in to support was actor and director Frank Harper, a regular customer just happens to be known for Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Football Factory and Bend It Like Beckham.
The team raised more than £600 for the Co-op's national charity partner, the mental health charity MIND.
The team spent the day washing cars and vans – including Frank's – running a cake sale and a bring-and-buy stall to bring in the cash.
Kerry said: "I am so proud of my team, who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic and now volunteered their spare time to help support me in fundraising.
"It is fantastic to be the hub of the community in South Darenth and to have had their support with such an amazing turn-out on the day.
"With mental health concerns on the rise, we have a lot more fundraising coming up too."
