Woman distressed by sex assault

POLICE are seeking witnesses to a sex assault in the street that caused distress to a 33-year-old woman.

The woman was walking down East Hill at Dartford when a man began following her. He then came up close behind her and touched her bottom.

The woman became frightened and walked over to a nearby shop where she could see a friend. The man then walked off.

The offender is described as a black man, of medium build wearing casual clothing, black tracksuit bottoms and a dark fleece. He was also wearing a striped woolly hat.

The incident occurred on September 25 at around midday. A spokesman for North Kent Police said: "The victim was not injured but it has caused her great distress."
