The father of Amy Winehouse has revealed the singer thought she was pregnant before her tragic death due to alcohol poisoning.
Mitch Winehouse, from Greenhithe, made the startling revelations in an Australian television interview when speaking about the film Amy - a documentary released in July.
The 63-year-old has disassociated himself from the film because he is unhappy with the family's portrayal.
He claimed the work is "misleading", carried a number of alleged falsehoods and missed out on an opportunity to celebrate her life.
On today's Weekend Sunrise, he questioned why Reg Traviss, Amy's boyfriend at the time of her death, wasn't included in the project.
Mitch said: "She was with Reg, they were going to get married. I shouldn't tell you this, she thought she was pregnant at some stage."
Mr Winehouse also stated he was in the middle of a legal battle with filmmakers and that the family planned to release their own film to address issues they are unhappy about.
He added: "You know, Amy was surrounded by people, surrounded by her friends, and her family all of her life and to give the impression that she was on her own is frankly criminal."
Amy, directed by Asif Kapadia, the man behind Senna, a biopic of the Formula One world champion Ayrton Senna, was released in cinemas in July.
The singer, who's hits include Back to Black and Rehab, died in July 2011 as a result of alcohol poisoning after her body was found in her north London flat.
