Police and crime commissioner Ann Barnes has been injured in a crash in Dartford.

The collision happened on Princes Road just after 3.30pm.

One other car was involved in the smash and an ambulance was called, but both drivers suffered only minor injuries.

Police managed traffic following the crash which blocked one lane of Princes Road for abut two hours.

Recovery vehicles were called to remove the damaged cars.

Mrs Barnes said in a statement on her website she was "shaken, but not seriously injured."

She also thanked people for their good wishes following the crash.
