Annual Christmas festival gets underway

Christmas trees and carols will flood Dartford with the festive spirit in the tenth anniversary of a special ceremony.

Spital Street Methodist Church celebrates the 10th birthday of its annual Christmas tree festival tomorrow, with a record number of almost 40 trees, all decorated by local charities.

The fun starts at 10am when Mayor of Dartford, Cllr Ian Armitt, and the borough's MP, Dr Howard Stoate, switch on the lights, followed by carols at One Bell Corner from 11am.
