Lowfield Street is the subject on everyone’s lips as the second exhibition into the plans was opened.
Green Issues Communications, working on behalf of Tesco and St James Investments, held the “community workshop” to reveal the latest proposals for the massive £300 million project.
The exhibition attracted around 300 people on its first day alone.
The Community Shop in Lowfield Street was opened on May 8, 9, and 10 for visitors and their questions.

Last month, the Messenger revealed plans by the architects to rethink some of their plans in response to issues raised in the consultation’s first stage.
The original proposals for a 10 and a half floor maximum height to buildings were met with disapproval from visitors to the first LowfieldVision exhibition in February.
Now the maximum height for buildings on the development will be seven storeys in height.
Other changes included in the latest plans include security measures for Central Park, a cafe on the park’s grounds, more parking spaces and a water garden.
Planners will now take back issues raised in the last week with a view to holding another exhibition in the summer displaying the final development plans.
And it is hoped a planning application will be brought to the council by August.
Green Issues Communications has said it hopes work on the development will then be started, if the application is successful, in early 2009.
The project would be due to be completed in 2012.
