Ever watched Total Wipeout and thought, ‘I could do that’?
Well, here’s your chance to prove it because Britain’s biggest obstacle course is coming to Brands Hatch.
The Gung-Ho! is a 5k fun run from the mind of CBeebies presenter Alex Winters and promises a giant ball pit, a maze of foam, and a rollercoaster sized slide dubbed Thriller.
Alex, 39, describes it as “a great opportunity for people to have great fun and raise money for important causes at the same time”.
“I came up with the idea after watching Ninja Warrior with my kids – they were saying how great it would be to do something like that,” he explained.
“I immediately thought of It’s A Knockout, Takeshi’s Castle, Total Wipeout – TV shows that I and other people love but are never going to be able to take part in.”

Thousands enjoyed three Gung-Ho! events across the country last year, and Alex is keen to enjoy even more success in 2016.
“Anyone can do it — at our event in Windsor last year a disabled girl went round the course on a tricycle and her dad helped her over the obstacles,” he explained.
“That sums up everything Gung-Ho! is about.”
More than 500 people have already signed up to take on the challenge at Kent’s most famous race course, and Alex is urging even more to buy a ticket and get involved.
“It doesn’t matter about your level of fitness – this event is for everyone and we want to make it bigger and better than ever,” he said.
“We think the people of Kent will really get behind us and will hopefully turn out in their droves.
“Brands Hatch is such an iconic location for this race and we hope everyone will have some serious fun. Tickets cost £30 and include a free bib, T-shirt and headband, but prices will go up as we get closer to the event date of Saturday, June 4.”
Parents should be wary that – although the course is designed to be enjoyed by all — runners must be at least 4ft tall to join in.
