A suspected drugs dealer who allegedly threw some of his stash out the car when pursued by police has been arrested.

Last Thursday, officers in an unmarked police car in Northfleet spotted a Ford Focus they suspected was being used in connection with the supply of drugs.

The vehicle stopped in South Kent Avenue and a black bag that had allegedly been thrown from the car was recovered.

It was found to contain quantities of cocaine and cannabis, and the driver was arrested.

The 24-year-old suspect was later bailed to appear at a police station on Saturday, September 2.

In a separate incident on the same day, a search was carried out at an address in London, following a joint operation by Kent Police’s proactive targeting team and local officers.

A man was arrested at the property and taken into custody. The constables also seized quantities of crack cocaine and heroin, as well as a mobile phone.

Norman Samura, of Spindle Close, Woolwich, was later charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, and three counts of handling stolen goods.

The 25-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday (June 2), where he was remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, June 30.
