Two men matching the same description were then spotted by officers in Denton Road, Dartford, securing the digger on the side of the road.

After a vehicle check revealed the digger had been reported stolen from London in March both men, aged 38 and 44-years-old, from the local area, were arrested on suspicion of theft in connection to the two vehicles.

Officers released the 38-year-old man on bail until September 27, and the 44-year-old man was released on bail until September 29.
