A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly assaulting a woman with a knife.

Armed police were sent to a residential address in Kirby Road, Dartford, shortly after 2am on Saturday (October 8).

The victim suffered several injuries consistent with stab wounds, and she remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Andrzej Kitrys was arrested and has since been charged with attempted murder.

The 35-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday (October 10) and was remanded in custody.

His next hearing is at Woolwich Crown Court on November 7.
