A motorist has been criticised after an Audi was pictured parked in a flower bed.

The red car was photographed near the Cardinal Court building on the Castle Hill estate in Ebbsfleet.

Alina Agarkova, who has lived in the area since December 2021, says people who visit the estate often do so with no “respect”.

The 34-year-old who took the photo said: “There was the Ebbsfleet summer fair event over the weekend in Castle Hill at Jubilee Park.

“I imagine it attracted people from all around. Unfortunately, what we see in our estate is when people come from further away they park wherever they want without any respect to our estate.

“I took the photo at the end of Norman Lane. It was in the parking area just by the Cardinal Court building. A car park which has signs up saying it is just for residents.

Alina explained that although there is four-hour parking at the nearby Co-Op, which is free outside of school hours, drivers will take advantage of private parking areas across the estate.

She said: “People still pop into our parking spaces that are supposed to only be for homeowners and their guests.”

Alina confirmed the car was gone this morning but it had damaged the flower bed and snapped a tree.

The homeowner added: “I just wish they could be a bit more respectful of the estate, that’s all really”

A spokesman for Dartford Borough Council said: “The areas in question are not designated as highway, and the parking spaces are within the parking area which is under the control and enforcement of the estate management company. We advise residents to therefore liaise with the management company to resolve any parking issues.”
