Precious items stolen from grieving parents have been found outside a police station - just hours after police told of their theft.
A car, containing precious items belonging to bereaved parents, was stolen from Dartford.
The black Ford Fiesta was stolen from Mead Road on Wednesday - and police earlier today appealed for information after their theft.
The car contained a number of baby items, for a child who had recently died, including a blue, grey and black striped blanket that the baby was wrapped in at birth, as well as a red toy dinosaur and a blue baby mirror.
But, hours after the appeal, police have now confirmed the items inside the car have been returned.
All of the items were next to a blue Stokke iZi Go BeSafe baby car seat. A Maxi- Cosi car seat and with a blue buggy were also stored in the vehicle.
The buggy has a distinctive tan leather coloured handle grip.
Police tweeted tonight that the buggy and toy had been left outside the police station at Dartford sometime today.
Sergeant Becky Jones said earlier today: "When this car was stolen it contained several items which belonged to the victim’s deceased child and this has caused a great deal of upset and distress for the whole family.
"These items are of huge sentimental value to the victim and the family would desperately like them back."
Police are continuing to make a number of enquiries into the theft and are appealing for any information which may help their investigation.
