Dartford gave their Blue Square South survival hopes a huge boost with a deserved 1-0 win at Bishop's Stortford.
Charlie Sheringham's goal on 72 minutes proved the difference between the two sides, but Tony Burman's side were indebted to a towering performance from midfielder Lee Noble.
It was his strong work that presented Sheringham pictured) with the game's only goal. Noble cut inside the area before laying the ball off for the Darts frontman, who turned and shot to give the visitors the lead after a dominant display on the road.
The result means Dartford climb 17th in the table and out of the relegation zone. They play league leaders Braintree Town next on Tuesday.
