Second-half goals from Leon Cort and Chris Solly handed Charlton the points at Blackpool on Saturday.
A 2-0 win at Bloomfield Road was only the third win of the season for the club at the start of their Championship campaign.
Charlton could have been ahead in the opening 45 minutes, but Ricardo Fuller’s header bounced clear after hitting the underside of the bar.
Blackpool’s Gary Taylor-Fletcher came close with a long-range chip that went narrowly over, while Addicks keeper Ben Hamer pulled off a good save from Matt Phillips.
Four minutes into the second half and Charlton took the lead when Cort, pictured, headed home from a Dale Stephens corner.
The victory was secured with 17 minutes left when Solly smashed home a shot from the edge of the box.
The result leaves the Addicks sitting 15th in the table.
