More than 2000 job seekers attended a work fair at Bluewater shopping centre last week in the hope of landing a new position.
The job fair at the shopping centre in Dartford returned for its eighth consecutive year on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 September.
A variety of jobs were on offer across the two days including retail, leisure and hospitality positions.
MP for Dartford, Gareth Johnson and deputy mayor of Dartford, Rosanna Currans were in attendance on the Friday to see the work the Learning Shop, a collaboration between Bluewater, North Kent College and the government is doing to help match people to jobs.
Job seekers were matched to vacancies at more than 60 retailers and restaurants including Apple, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer’s, JD, Primark, Five Guys and TGI Fridays.
Many of the attendees were invited back for second interviews, work trials or given job offers on the day.
Since the launch of Bluewater's job fair it has placed people into 10,000 roles.
Robert Goodman, General Manager at Bluewater said: "We are delighted to have hosted yet another hugely successful Jobs Fair at Bluewater this year, helping hundreds of local people find employment.
"It was great to see Bluewater and The Learning Shop teams support candidates, and we're already looking forward to welcoming the new starters."
