Residents are being urged to take extra care with bonfires after a large tree caught alight.
Two fire engines were sent to an incident near Grass Banks, behind Dartford FC's Princes Park Stadium.
Crews used hose reel jets to extinguish a blaze which had spread to one large tree and a pile of rubbish.
The fire is believed to have started accidentally after embers spread from a nearby bonfire. No casualties were reported.
It is now peak season for grass, woodland and crop fires and crews are reminding the public to take extra care with bonfires.
They are advising residents to build bonfires well away from, and clear of, buildings, garden sheds, fences, hedges and overhanging branches.
It is further advised to keep blazes to a manageable size and evenly built, never to leave them unattended and to avoid lighting them in windy conditions.
