Lee Noble's 90th minute goal was a mere consolation for Dartford, as they lost 3-1 to Boreham Wood in the Blue Square Bet Conference South.
The Darts were without Carl Rook for Saturday's match after he was involved in a car accident before the game, with manager Tony Burman choosing to start with Charlie Sheringham and Danny Harris up front.
With the first half lacking any real quality, it took until the 46th minute for the deadlock to be broken - the unfortunate Tom Bonner putting into his own net while attempting to clear a cross.
The visitors were 2-0 down 20 minutes later when the referee awarded a dubious penalty for an alleged hand ball by Adam Gross. Mario Noto converted from the spot to double The Woods' lead.
Boreham Wood made it three when Ryan Hayes' poor free kick was intercepted, leaving Noto to slot home for his second of the afternoon.
Charlie Sheringham struck the crossbar late on but it was too little too late for the Darts, who are now without a win in three games.
