First half goals from Tom Bonner and Jacob Erskine helped Dartford to another Blue Square Bet Premier victory.
A 2-0 win at Braintree on Tuesday night left the Darts sitting just a place and a point outside the division’s play-off positions.
Just four days after claiming a point from their trip to Wrexham the Darts returned from Essex with a maximum point haul.
Bonner (pictured) opened the scoring with 17 minutes gone after converting Ryan Hayes’ free-kick.
The Darts were then put under plenty of pressure from the hosts as they struggled to retain possession and were grateful to on-loan keeper Marcus Bettinelli for making several saves.
Braintree’s Brad Quinton saw his powerful free-kick saved by Bettinelli but the Darts were still proving a threat themselves and Tom Champion cracked an effort against the woodwork.
And with 34 minutes played the Darts grabbed a vital second as again Hayes provided the chance and Erskine headed home the cross.
On-loan Gillingham striker Adam Birchall came on with just over 20 minutes left for goalscoring forward Erskine.
The Darts stayed strong in the second half, despite showing signs of tiredness following a tough week on the road, to register their sixth win of the league season.
