Motorists have been warned about possible congestion this weekend as the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge closes for temporary repair works
The Queen Elizabeth II Bridge will be closed overnight on Saturday at 8pm to repair an expansion joint.
It will reopen to drivers at 10am on Sunday morning.
Traffic will remain open in both directions with motorists travelling into Kent diverted through one bore of the Dartford Tunnel.
Highways Agency officials are advising drivers to check conditions before they set out and allow extra time for journeys if necessary.
