A BUS had to be evacuated in a Kent town today following the discovery of a suspect briefcase.

The driver found the unclaimed case on the bus near Havelock Terraces, Dartford, and raised the alarm.

Police officers and army bomb disposal experts attended the scene and found the contents to be harmless.
