A Dartford dance group who reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent were voted out by the audience last night.
Code 3 had wowed all four judges at their previous audition - but they failed to impress Simon Cowell at yesterday’s live performance and will not be in tonight’s grand final.
The three teenagers attend Len Goodman’s The Goodman Dance Academy in Market Street, Dartford.
Claudia Carlier, one of the trio, was introduced to dancing by her mum Louise who runs the Sugarfree Streetdance, which is part of the academy.
Claudia,14, who also goes to the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London has spent the week practising her moves with pals Maria Gauronskaite,16, from Erith and Tag Garwood,15, who travels from Cambridge.
Three of the panel gave the girls glowing comments after their routine.
David Walliams said: “I loved it," while Alesha Dixon added: “It was realistic and it was edgy.”
And Amanda Holden gushed: “You are a fantastic trio of girls. I really loved it.”
But chief judge Cowell blasted their act. “It felt like I wanted you to sing as well. It wasn’t good enough,” he said.
But it was “no” from the audience vote which means Code 3 have missed out on the winner’s £250,000 prize money and a chance to appear at the Royal Variety Performance.
