Crayford one-way system cordoned off near Stadium Way after pedestrian hit by car

A police cordon has been put in place on part of a busy one-way system after a pedestrian was hit by a car.

Officers are at the scene in Roman Way, Crayford, after a collision at around 1.10pm.

Part of the road outside the permanently shut KFC and Sainsbury’s superstore has been taped off as a result.

Pictures posted online show atleast two police cars at the scene with a white Mercedes between the cordon.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “A man was taken to hospital. We await an assessment of his condition.”

No arrests have been made.
