A suspected burglar has appeared in court after a string of alleged break-ins which saw a car, cash and jewellery stolen.
The incidents, which were reported in Swanley, also included a suspected shoplifting at a Co-op store.
On Thursday, October 20, three properties were said to be burgled in Court Crescent, where items including cash and car keys were reported stolen.
A car was also taken and two attempted burglaries were carried out in the same street.
In Jessamine Terrace, laptops, cash, car keys and a vehicle were reported stolen from a property.
On Friday, October 21, a burglary was also reported in Goldsel Road where two laptops, a digital tablet, jewellery, a handbag, wallet and cards were allegedly stolen.
On Saturday, September 17, meat was reported stolen from a Co-operative supermarket.
Officers are linking the offences in Swanley to an attempted burglary in Brow Crescent, Orpington, which took place on Saturday, October 15.
It is also being connected to another incident on Saturday, September 17 when car keys and a car were reported stolen from a property in Zelah Road.
On Saturday, John Shock, 32, of no fixed address was charged with six burglaries, three attempted burglaries, three thefts of a motor vehicle and the theft of meat.
Shock was also charged with two counts of driving a car without a licence or insurance.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on November 29.
