A car has crashed into the entrance sign for a Sainsbury's.

The crash happened yesterday evening near the supermarket in the Priory Shopping Centre, in Dartford.

The vehicle has been taped off and remained on the pavement.

A Sainsbury’s spokesman said: "We’re aware of an incident that occurred at our Dartford store yesterday evening and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this caused."

They confirmed no one was injured and that they will repair the sign as soon as possible.

Despite being draped in police tape, a spokesman for the force said officers did not attend.
