A lane is closed on the A2 after a car hit the central reservation.

The crash happened on the coast-bound carriageway, near the exit for Ebbsfleet, at about 6.30am.

A police spokesman said: "Police received a report a car had been in collision with a central reservation barrier on the coast-bound A2, near the exit for Ebbsfleet.

"No serious injuries have been reported, however the car has caused an obstruction in a live lane.

"A lane closure is in place and recovery has been arranged."

Highways England is advising drivers to approach the area "with caution".
