A man suspected of being behind the wheel of a stolen car has been apprehended after a police chase.
Officers from both Kent Police and the Met were involved in the pursuit of the vehicle into Dartford last night.
The car - stolen from Swanley last month and on false registration plates - drove the wrong way through a no-entry and then mounted the pavement before the suspect fled the scene.
Police found him hiding in a nearby alleyway and drew a taser as he was taken into custody.
The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, having no licence, theft of motor vehicle and failing to provide a breath sample.
He remains in custody this morning.
