A care service has recognised one of its workers for going above and beyond the call of duty.
Home Instead Senior Care in Dartford has spoken about the excellent standard of care given by Manisha Patel.
Manisha, 50, joined the company last year and hasn't looked back since.
She said: "It's the most rewarding job I've ever had.
"I find the role of a caregiver a very rewarding one. In other jobs you tend to wait years for a promotion, whilst in this role you get a reward straight away every time you make a client smile."
Manisha visits her clients in their own homes and provides personalised care and has been described as going above and beyond for those that she provides care for.
The owners of the service, Ram and Christina Uppenkamp, said they need more people like Manisha to champion the work of a caregiver.
"She truly goes above and beyond for each of her clients."
Their comments come following recent statistics which showed that by 2035 there will be more than 650,000 vacancies in the care sector.
Christina added: "We are so lucky to have Manisha on our caregiving team. She has taken to the role fabulously and has already made significant changes in her clients' wellbeing."
