Dartford manager Tony Burman praised striker Carl Rook for seizing his chance in the win over Lowestoft on Saturday.
The victory booked Dartford a FA Cup third qualifying round trip to Canvey Island and Burman said: "He’s been knuckling down to try and get a start, he’s done that and he’s got a goal.
"Everyone was pleased for him and he is right in contention for Saturday (at Boreham Wood)."
Rook (pictured) replaced Charlie Sheringham, who remained on the bench against Lowestoft as he rested a knee problem, but could return to action on Saturday.
