Charlton could still clinch an automatic promotion place in League 1 after defeating Leeds at The Valley on Saturday.

Leeds skipper Richard Naylor put through his own net late on to hand the Addicks the points.

The result, along with Millwall’s defeat to Tranmere, means Phil Parkinson’s side can still take second place on the final day of the season at Oldham on Saturday.

The decisive moment came after 87 minutes when Naylor netted an own goal following substitute Akpo Sodje’s header.

The Addicks had goalkeeper Darren Randolph (pictured) to thank for ensuring they took the points when he made a fantastic save to deny Leeds substitute Jermaine Beckford in stoppage time.

Addicks substitute Kyel Reid then almost added a second with a free-kick that hit the post.
