Charlton remain five points clear at the top of npower League 1, despite being held by mid-table Oldham at The Valley.
Filipe Morais scored for the visitors six minutes from time to see the Addicks draw for the second successive game following Darrel Russell's (pictured) header on the hour mark.
Danny Green shot wide early on for Charlton while leading scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips was equally wasteful in front of goal for the hosts.
They went ahead in the second half, however, when Matt Taylor crossed for Russell, who headed home his first goal for the Addicks.
Whether Russell stays in SE7 much longer will be the subject of some debate as his parent club Preston sacked boss Phil Brown earlier this week.
Green went close with a free-kick for Charlton and it needed a brilliant block by Taylor to deny Shefki Kuqi an equaliser.
But the visitors were not to be denied and Chris Taylor pulled the ball back for the unmarked Morais to fire home with six minutes left.
