Charlton Athletic were crowned Npower League 1 champions after overcoming Wycombe Wanderers at The Valley on Saturday while second-placed Sheffield United lost at MK Dons.
The Addicks secured the crown with two games remaining thanks to goals from Yann Kermorgant (pictured) and Dale Stephens.
Bradley Wright-Phillips had already seen an effort cleared off the line when the Frenchman put Charlton in front after 14 minutes with a superb free-kick into the bottom corner from 25 yards.
Wright-Phillips was twice foiled by Nikki Bull when clean through while Bradley Pritchard was also foiled by the Wycombe keeper from a fine lob.
Wanderers drew level on the stroke of half-time through Stuart Beavon, who saw a low cross-shot superbly saved by Ben Hamer, only for Marvin McCoy to return the ball to the middle for Beavon to head home.
Charlton looked nervy after the break with Beavon and Matt Bloomfield going close and Hamer superbly denying Joel Grant.
However Stephens secured the points 17 minutes from time, substitute Danny Haynes swinging in a cross from the left, moments after coming on, and Stephens firing in a knock-down across goal from Kermorgant.
After the final whistle Addicks fans endured a nervy few moments awaiting the result from Milton Keynes, but former Manchester United player Alan Smith’s goal – his first domestic strike since scoring at The Valley seven years ago - was enough to see the hosts over the line and spark joyous scenes from a crowd of more than 18,500.
