Dartford slipped to a two goal defeat at Chelmsford on Monday.
It was a third defeat of the season so far for Tony Burman’s (pictured) men as they struggle to make an early impression on the blue Square Bet South division.
The Darts were made to pay for not taking an early chance, when Charlie Sheringham’s effort was blocked, and with 28 minutes gone Billy Bricknell got on the end of a free-kick and slotted home.
Billy Burgess had an effort saved by the visiting keeper in the second half and his afternoon ended on a low as he fell awkwardly and dislocated his shoulder.
With four minutes remaining Chelmsford wrapped up the points with a goal from Anthony Cook.
