A supermarket has reopened after a six-week revamp.
The Co-op store in Lane End, Darenth, near Dartford, was closed while the store was transformed with a £740,000 investment.
The new-look shop includes an extended range and choice of chilled and fresh produce alongside everyday essentials, food-to-go, Fairtrade products, flowers, chilled beers and wines, ready meals, pizzas and, free-from, vegan and plant-based products.
It also still has a small customer parking area and a free cash machine.
The store, which is almost 2,000 sq ft and supports more than 14 jobs, features a Costa Coffee Express, instore bakery and parcel collection services while it offers deliveries from its own online shop as well as Uber Eats and Deliveroo.
A soft plastic recycle unit is also available in store to enable the community to recycle soft plastics including crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and pet food pouches.
Co-op store manager Samantha Smith-Nottage said: “The store looks fantastic and we are really enjoying welcoming our members and customers back into their Co-op.
“Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life and we have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer to serve our community conveniently.”
